Job Description /Minimum Qualifications (or attach a copy): General Statement of
Responsibilities: The job of Accounting Technician – Accounts Payable is done for the
purpose/s of processing accounts payable invoices, training district staff on related
processes and procedures; and preparing a variety of compliance reports.
This is a 12-month job, 40 hours per week. The rate of pay is $10.29 per hour..

Qualifications:
1. A minimum of a high school diploma with additional business school or college
training in the field of accounting
plus at least two (2) years work experience in the field of accounting, preferably with
some portion of the experience in a public school district. (Pre-employment Proficiency
test administered at time of application.)
2. Operate standard office machines including the ability to operate the computer with
a high degree of efficiency.
3. Ability to work with electronic data processing operations involving accounts payable
and related areas.
4. Requires a good knowledge of office terminology and procedures, routines and
equipment.
5. Requires a good knowledge of business English and arithmetic.
6. Ability to understand and carry out complex written and oral instructions.
7. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and
acceptable.
